Tatum named Vice President of Human Resources for Cartersville Medical Center

March 6, 2009 – Robbie Tatum has been named Vice President of Human Resources for Cartersville Medical Center. In her role as Vice President, Tatum oversees all recruitment, selection, placement and retention of employees. She is also responsible for development and implementation of all HR initiatives, including diversity, healthy work environment, succession planning and employee engagement.

She is responsible for approximately 696 employees within the Cartersville Medical Center system including the main facility as well as The Hope Center and the Acworth Imaging Center in Acworth, Georgia. “We are excited to have someone with her energy, experience and knowledge of HR management”, said Keith Sandlin, CEO of Cartersville Medical Center. “She brings a wealth of information about Human Resources along with a passion to offer the best for our employees,” said Sandlin. 

Tatum comes to Cartersville from Palms West Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida where she served as Director of Human Resources. Prior to her most recent position, she served as VP of Human Resources at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson TN for five years.

She received her undergraduate degree in HR management from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia and her master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Tatum served in the United States Marine Corp and the US Army for thirteen years leaving as a Second Lieutenant Personnel Manager with the US Army.

Tatum is married with three children and has recently relocated to the Cartersville area.
